This is supposed to be one of the best shore dives in all of Hawaii so I came here as a last dive of my trip to make sure that I didn't leave feeling that I was missing out. I arrived just after sunrise so there was still some parking available right next to the shore.
I snorkeled out to the right towards the steep, deeper area along the North side of the bay.
I descended on the North side of the bay and swam along the steep slope. My maximum depth was 100' where the coral slope met the sand.
I swam back around the big, flat shallow area in front of the entry-point. My depths here were 15-30'. The visibility wasn't as good here since the surge was stirring up the sand.
I think this was a pretty good dive, particularly along the deeper slope. I don't think it had anywhere near the abundance and variety of fish that Dog Beach had though.
