Also known as Sint Michiel, this is a fishing village with a bit of a beach, a ruined fort and a small harbour. We first snorkeled out over the sand, past the harbor and out to the left side of the bay. There was very little coral here and lots of debris dumped from the shore, including several fans for some reason.
A turtle in the distance:
On our way back we swam around the area along the beach.
Despite the fact that we were swimming around in warm, clear water which is never a bad thing, this was probably the closest to a disappointing snorkeling site that we visited. There weren't many fish (except around the rubble near the harbour dock) and there was almost no coral. At least the little beach wasn't overrun with busloads of punters on a cruise excursion.
