These photos are from June 8, 2025. My plan was to swim out to the right and go farther along the coastline than I usually do. The forecast was showing low wind and waves and when I arrived, there was just a slight swell rolling up on the beach.
When I got in the water I could see that this was not a good day for topographical exploration. Visibility was only about 8'. The sunlight reflected off all the particles in the water, most of the rocks were covered by thick kelp and sea weed and despite the calm day, there was a decent amount of surge swirling the kelp around. I did my usual visit to the little tunnel-like canyon and continued past where I usually turn around. I couldn't see much under all the kelp, but the topography looked similar to the areas I usually dive. -Basically kelp-covered rock dropping to about 25' deep. One thing I learned today was to avoid this site in the Summer if I wanted to see anything but kelp.
