This beach up near Westpunt is one of the classic Curacao postcard-perfect small sandy beaches bordered by cliffs. The drawback to these beaches is that they are pretty crowded and commercial, with people packed shoulder to shoulder in rented beach chairs. This beach even has a big tour bus parking area so even more people can be brought in from the cruise ships. On the plus side, this beach is free (so far) and there's plenty of parking. Fortunately, we weren't here to sit on the beach all day, but to get in the water. We swam out along the cliffs on the North side of the beach. The area was pretty typical of the snorkeling at these beaches. The cliffs dropped down to about 10 or 15' deep and there were lots of sea fans, soft corals, elkhorn coral and a good amount of fish.
