I was hoping to dive the Juan De Fuca side of Victoria today (Dec. 12, 2008), but the coastline was a mess of whitewater so I came to Henderson Pt. instead. I had heard of a sailboat hull that had magically appeared on the bottom so I went out to find it.  Because of all the rain, visibility in the shallows was only 6-10 feet, but below 30 feet deep it started to clear up, eventually reaching about 40 feet. It was very dark and gloomy though. I found the sailboat more or less straight out from the flagpole about 60 feet deep just before the deeper reef. There were a few rockfish and crabs in it.

I came back a few days later (Dec. 17, 2008) and the visibility in the shallows had cleared up so it was much brighter down deeper. I saw an octopus at home. It kept shooting out a tentacle to try and find out what I was.
