I came back to Macaulay Point Park and had a look at the rock breakwater at the entrance to the Flemming Bay launch ramp. My maximum depth was 20 feet around the eelgrass at the base of the boulder slope. I wasn't too impressed with the marine life here compared to nearby Saxe Point/Gillingham Islets. There were hardly any fish and there were less fish-eating anemones than I expected. I saw a dead octopus and a "sea butterfly" nudibranch. I spent most of the dive taking photos of the variety of small crabs (mostly decorator).
