This is one of the most popular scuba diving spots on Maui. I did a couple of dives on scuba during a previous visit to the island, but this time we snorkeled it. It's an old concrete pier that was destroyed by a storm in the 1990's. The sunken concrete slabs go out to about 30' deep and are home to lots of coral, turtles and black tip reef sharks that live under the slabs. Most days, the place is full of guided shore-dive groups and anchored snorkel charter boats so it can be busy in the water.
We went snorkeling here about 3 times. The visibility near shore in the shallows varied from day to day, but out over the deeper part of the ruined pier, visibility was always nice and clear and it was easy to see down to the bottom 30' below. These photos are a mix from all the different snorkel visits.
